Globe Telecom bundles digital brands into prepaid fiber service

Philippine operator Globe Telecom says it is now bundling popular digital content brands into its prepaid fiber broadband service, including video streaming, e-commerce, gaming and online dating.

Globe GFiber Prepaid users now have unlimited access to streaming video services such as Viu, BlastTV and iWantTFC, as well as user-generated video app TikTok.

Globe has also partnered with e-commerce firm Shopee and online dating app Bumble. Gamers will be able to use gaming digital wallet Razer Gold to unlock exclusive in-game items and currencies.

Globe is positioning the content bundles as a strategy to boost the home digital experience for Filipinos.

"Through GFiber Prepaid, the ‘madiskarteng Pinoy’ [strategic Pinoy] will have access to greater opportunities through our various content partners,” said Raymond Policarpio, VP of Globe at Home Broadband Business. “Whether it's for content creation, online selling, entertainment, gaming, learning, work, or connection, we're helping every Filipino family thrive in the digital age.”
